The Digital Switchover
Every one in the UK will be affected by the 'Switchover' to Digital TV by 2012 but many areas will make the switch before then. Most people will have switched by 2011.
What does that mean?
If you have any older TV's, VCR's or DVD recorders that use the 'Analogue' TV channels (BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5) they will stop working when your area switches over to Digital TV.
You might have Freeview built in to you TV or have a Set Top Box, then you don't need to worry even it the TV is old.
The problem most people have with Freeview is poor reception. The picture fragments or you loose channels. If this happens you might need a new 'Digital Ready' aerial.
